Move Afrika: A Global Citizen Experience has been introduced with a noble aim: to foster job creation and entrepreneurial prospects throughout Africa. Its vision is to engage local talents, vendors, crews, and agencies while igniting investment interest within the indigenous communities. The Rwanda chapter of this concert series is a collaborative effort with the Rwanda Development Board, firmly establishing Kigali as the annual host for the next five years. Each year will see a new country added to the touring circuit, aiming to encompass five nations by 2025.

Beyond the music, Move Afrika: Rwanda will embark on a citizen-led advocacy campaign, urging leaders to address critical issues spanning the continent, including climate change, food security, and healthcare. Tshepo Mahloele, the Africa patron of Global Citizen, expressed his deep commitment to these causes, emphasizing the imperative need to combat health inequality, poverty, and promote gender empowerment. Mahloele underscored the significance of Global Citizen’s renewed focus on these crucial matters and hailed Move Afrika: Rwanda as a catalyst in keeping Africa at the forefront of global consciousness.
